Cameron Brinks says Steph Curry suggested her to join Unrivaled
Cameron Brink signing a multi-year deal with the "Unrivaled" league is one of the biggest news this offseason.
In a conversation with People, Brink said that it was Steph Curry who suggested she join the "Unrivaled." Brink said that the Golden State Warriors superstar was also in full support of her decision.
"When the league was just forming, we did chat about it -- and yeah, I think Steph is in full support of it," Brink said. "He thinks it's a great idea and he knows I love 3-on-3 basketball."
Cameron Brink will not play in the inaugural season, instead, she will start her season in 2026. However, Brink also said that irrespective of her status for the inaugural season, she will travel with the team and work on her game with the coaching staff.
"I think it's just going to be a really cool opportunity," Brink said. "Iron sharpens iron, so while I'm there, I'll be able to train with people and work on my game. It'll be really a huge year of growth for me -- so, I'm really excited."
Cameron Brink will play for the Lunar Owls in Unrivaled. She will join Napheesa Collier and Skylar Diggins-Smith as her teammates. The inaugural season will start on January 17 in Miami.
