"I smell a little racism" - Fans accuse Jalen Rose's daughter of racial takes on Caitlin Clark, Taylor Swift and Patrick Mahomes
Ex-NBA player Jalen Rose's daughter, Mariah Rose, has been in the spotlight lately for her bold takes and recently because of her comments on Caitlin Clark, Taylor Swift, and Patrick Mahomes.
In a video released on X, Mariah ranted about Clark and Swift's presence at the Chiefs' Divisional Round win over the Houston Texans and how there are no black players left in contention to win the Super Bowl this year. Mariah made her prediction for the Chiefs with the premise seemingly based on Clark and Swift's budding relationship.
In the middle of her monolog, Mariah revealed she knew Mahomes was biracial. However, he 'lost points' because his wife, Brittany Mahomes, is white.
"When I saw this photo right here (of Clark and Swift), I'll be damned," Mariah Rose said. "The Kansas City Chiefs done already won the Super Bowl. Y'all can pack it up. ... 'Beyonce, Angel Reese, fight back,' that's all we got."
"Before y'all start, I can smell the comments from over here. Okay, Patrick Mahomes is black. I realize that, but with that wife of his, he loses some points, I'm sorry!"
Mariah Rose cited players like Jayden Daniels and Jaylen Hurts, who could still win but didn't show enough faith in them to get the job done against the Chiefs.
While Mariah was probably joking, viewers in her comments section weren't impressed, slamming her for making this situation about race.
