In Photos: LeBron James & Savannah James spotted courtside with Damian Lillard & Bam Adebayo for Aces vs Liberty showdown in LA
LeBron James and his wife Savannah have been very active this offseason, attending special events. They went to Bronny James' combine ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft; danced to Kendrick Lamar's 'Not Like Us' at a club; and supported their kids in basketball (Bryce) and volleyball (Zhuri).
Today, the NBA power couple is watching the rematch of the 2023 WNBA Finals, between the LV Aces and New York Liberty. Although they have completely different presents (the Liberty boasts an 11-2 record and the Aces a 6-5 record), when these two teams clash, fans rejoice.
LeBron and Savannah James were spotted at Michelob ULTRA Arena on Saturday, watching this high-flying match-up alongside James' agent, Rich Paul.
"Queen & King in The House! 👑👏," the Aces wrote on Instagram.
The Aces started this season on a strong note, getting notable wins against dangerous opponents like the Phoenix Mercury and Minnesota Lynx. The situation has changed in recent games after they've lost three of their last four contests.
That said, they still draw a lot of attention, and until another team tells otherwise, they remain the defending WNBA champions.
Besides this trio, Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo and Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard are also in attendance for this match.
LeBron James attended the 2023 WNBA Finals
Even though the WNBA has drawn more attention this season, LeBron James' support for the league was in place earlier too.
For instance, he was in attendance during the 2023 WNBA Finals between these two teams. At the time, he showed his support for A'ja Wilson, wishing her well ahead of that series.
"A'ja's my little sister," James said on Sirius XM in October. "I love what she's been able to do, not only for the game of basketball itself but for the WNBA. For me to be able to always support her, and her to trust me, in that sense, to be a guidance for her, it's only right that I was able to take care of her for another finals appearance."
More recently, LeBron James crowned Wilson the best player in the WNBA with a three-word message. After the two-time WNBA MVP became the first player in league history to score at least 35 points, grab 10 rebounds, and record five steals in a single game, James didn't hesitate to fire her up.
"THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!" the King tweeted.
The Aces remain the team to beat in the WNBA and LeBron James believes A'ja Wilson continues to be the best player in the league.
