In Photos: Michael Jordan's ex-wife Juanita Vanoy posts picture of herself at Angel Reese-Caitlin Clark game as her “birthday celebration continues"
Michael Jordan’s ex-wife Juanita Vanoy has been supportive of the Chicago Sky and Angel Reese this WNBA season. In addition to celebrating her 65th birthday, Vanoy had another reason to rejoice, the Chicago Sky's win over the Indiana Fever.
Vanoy, who turned 65, on June 13, posted a video of her and her friends celebrating the occasion.
“When you have friends and family who celebrate you the entire month of your birthday,” Vanoy wrote on her IG story tagging her friends.
Vanoy also shared snaps of the Sky's thrilling win over the Indiana Fever with the caption "when the bday celebration continues."
She was present for the game and shared pictures of the jumbotron with box scores and the Sky players.
One common element in the pictures was Angel Reese. Vanoy captured Reese sitting beside the announcers' table, shooting free throws and in the huddle.
Born in Chicago, Vanoy has been excited for her home team since the Sky added Reese in the 2024 WNBA draft. She has attended several Sky games at Wintrust Arena.
Juanita Vanoy loves Angel Reese's “I’m a dawg” comment
The last time the Chicago Sky played at Wintrust Arena, Angel Reese took over. Just when it seemed like the Sky would lose yet again to Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever, Reese switched gears and added 10 points in the quarter.
After the 88-87 win, Reese said she had a responsibility to fuel the team.
"I'm a dawg. You can't teach that. I'm gonna go out and do whatever it takes to win every single night. My teammates rely on my energy. So being able to continue the energy even if we're down, even if we're up, that's what I do," Reese said in her postgame interview.
Juanita Vanoy was clearly happy with Reese’s response. She posted the rookie’s comments on her IG story and captioned the post:
“Love this/her.”
As for Angel Reese, she has been a blessing not only for the Sky but also for the WNBA. Her on-court rivalry with Caitlin Clark has boosted the popularity of the league and attracted new fans.
