Injured Cameron Brink's doting boyfriend gives helping hand down the pool on Girlfriend's Day

Cameron Brink suffered a season-ending left knee injury in mid-June during the LA Sparks’ 79-70 loss to the Connecticut Sun. The former Stanford star went for a layup in the first quarter before collapsing on the floor. Trainers helped her walk off the court and to the tunnel leading to the locker room as the pro-Sun crowd applauded her.

The Sparks announced the following day that Brink had torn her left ACL which cut her season short. A week after the incident, the lanky forward posted a photo of herself with her boyfriend, Ben Felter, on Instagram. Brink’s leg was in a cast and she walked with crutches.

Two months later, the cast has been removed and Brink can move better. Still, Felter is ever doting on her, a clip of which was shared in a story on IG:

Ben Felter showing his love and support for the LA Sparks rookie isn’t a surprise. He has been by her side for over three years now. When she won the PAC-12 Player of the Year and Naismith Defensive Player of the Year awards in March, the former Stanford rower proudly reacted:

Cameron Brink and her boyfriend Ben Felter have more time for art as she recovers from an ACL injury

Roughly a week before Cameron Brink suffered an ACL injury, she had an interview with People Magazine. Brink opened up about her hectic move to Los Angeles and how her parents have helped her adjust to life in the WNBA. The Sparks rookie added that she spends more time with Ben Felter learning something new.

Here’s what she had to say in the interview:

"My boyfriend has turned me into a huge art lover. I love pottery and watercolor, even though I'm terrible. It's really lovely to just sit down and work your brain in a different way for a little bit.”

Although her leg doesn't have a cast anymore, Brink isn’t ready to start training again. Meanwhile, she can have more time to learn her new passion with Felter. Who knows if one of these days she might share her artwork?
