Jaylen Brown's girlfriend Kysre Gondrezick's rejuvenated energy on full display as she teases comeback with high-intensity training
Kysre Gondrezick, the girlfriend of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, took to Instagram on Monday to share a video of her intense training sessions as she prepares for a potential return to the WNBA next season. The video featured Gondrezick working on the court with NBA veteran Moochie Norris, honing her skills and techniques.
"Building…" Gondrezick captioned the post.
Gondrezick is currently a WNBA free agent as she was waived by the Chicago Sky in June. She was selected fourth overall by the Indiana Fever in the 2021 WNBA Draft but was sidelined during her rookie season due to an injury.
After a two-year break, she returned to play for the Sky in the 2023 season. However, after just five games, the 5-foot-9 guard was waived from her non-guaranteed contract due to her performance.
Jaylen Brown's girlfriend Kysre Gondrezick speaks about her life after getting cut from WNBA
Since being cut from the WNBA, Kysre Gondrezick has explored a career in different fields while also training to make a potential comeback to the league. One of the fields that Jaylen Brown's girlfriend has made waves in is fashion, as she frequently made headlines for her stunning appearances at various events.
Speaking to The New York Post last month, Gondrezick elaborated on her life after getting cut from the WNBA earlier this year.
"I am all over the place right now," Gondrezick said. "It's been a heck of a year. It is funny, someone said, 'You have trended more since you've been cut than since you were in the league — and you were trending so much in the league.' I'm just living in the beauty of my purpose."
Despite her off-court success throughout the year, Gondrezick maintained that she is determined to make her way back into the WNBA.
"So it's been an amazing year, honestly," Gondrezick said. "And I think that the kickstart started with me being back in the league. That was the ultimate goal was to get back in the W. Obviously it didn't pan out the way that I anticipated into the completion of a season, but I don't question God."
"… I'm just excited to see the outcome of what my journey is going to be with the W, because I don't think that I'm done anytime soon. I don't want to say that that was an ending. I want to say it was more so a transition."
Gondrezick also stated that basketball is her "first love." With nearly six months remaining before the start of the 2025 WNBA season, she appears to be working diligently to increase her chances of making a successful comeback.
