"Lonzo spending that Bulls money" - WNBA fans react to Angel Reese revealing Lonzo Ball shelling out $2000 for $200 fine cover
Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese revealed the truth regarding her WNBA fine to her show's guest, Lonzo Ball, during Wednesday's episode of her podcast, "Unapologetically Angel." Reese shared what happened to the money Ball had given her to pay for the league fine.
The incident occurred during the Sky's 88-75 loss to the New York Liberty on June 4. Reese only had 24 minutes of action because she was issued two technical fouls that led to her eventual ejection. The ejection came after her fifth foul, which was heightened by her spat with the officials. The league gave her a fine for her actions on the floor.
Ball, who attended the game, wasn't happy with Reese's ejection and voiced his frustration on X (formerly Twitter), expressing support for her.
"Ref that threw out @Reese10Angel is weak btw… You know who you are (Keep ya money Angel I got you)" Ball posted about Reese's fine after the game.
During Ball's appearance at Reese's show, Reese revealed that Ball had overpaid for her fine.
"You gave me $2000, but do you know how much the fine actually was?" Reese said. "It was only $200… I appreciate you."
It was originally a $400 fine, but the league rescinded one of the technical fouls to reduce it to $200. Following this, fans had hilarious reactions to Ball's gesture.
"Lonzo spending that Bulls money like he earned it," one fan said.
"He did all that and ain’t smash lol," another fan said.
"Lonzo got that bag lmaooo," a fan said.
Other fans had things to say about Reese's fine.
"200$ fine compared to the 50k fines Adam Silver be handing out damn 😭," a fan said.
"200 dollar fine is crazy," another fan said.
"Water bill more expensive than WNBA fines," one fan said.

Angel Reese asked Ball his Mount Rushmore of NBA players
During Ball's appearance on Angel Reese's podcast, the WNBA star asked the NBA point guard to name the players on his Mount Rushmore. Ball, who stands 6-foot-6, picked LeBron James, Michael Jordan and Shaquille O'Neal for the first three spots.
For the final spot, he debated between Magic Johnson and Steph Curry, ultimately leaning toward Curry, praising the Golden State Warriors star for "the way he changed the game."
Reese brought up Kobe Bryant but Ball said the former LA Lakers star was never the best player in his eyes.
