"Modeling agencies are screaming": Tyrese Haliburton's girlfriend Jade Jones can't stop gushing over Caitlin Clark's prestigious honor
Jade Jones, the girlfriend of Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton, took to social media to congratulate WNBA standout Caitlin Clark after she was named TIME Athlete of the Year. Jones commented on Clark’s post featuring her magazine cover.
Clark became the second individual woman to win TIME Athlete of the Year, joining Simone Biles, the seven-time Olympic gold medalist.
In the photoshoot for the cover, Clark was seen posing with a basketball in a monochrome setting. Jones praised Clark, suggesting she could be a future model.
Jones also shared a story praising Clark.
Clark became just the sixth TIME Athlete of the Year. She joined notable figures like the United States Women's National Soccer Team, LeBron James, Simone Biles, Aaron Judge and Lionel Messi.
Clark and Haliburton, along with their partners Connor McCaffery and Jade Jones, share a close friendship and even have a group chat together.

Caitlin Clark addresses ‘storylines’ surrounding her career
Caitlin Clark’s career hasn’t been free of controversy. She’s been involved in rivalries, including a racial one with Angel Reese, even mentioned by WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert. However, Clark maintains the controversies are not of her making but stem from the narratives created around her.
“I tell people I feel like the most controversial person,” Clark said (per TIME). “But I am not. It’s just because of all the storylines that surround me. I literally try to live and treat everybody in the same exact respectful, kind way. It just confuses me at times.”
Clark also acknowledged the attention she’s brought to the WNBA and emphasized the need for Black players to receive recognition as well.
“A lot of those players in the league that have been really good have been Black players. This league has kind of been built on them. The more we can appreciate that, highlight that, talk about that, and then continue to have brands and companies invest in those players that have made this league incredible,” she said.
“I think it’s very important. I have to continue to try to change that. The more we can elevate Black women, that’s going to be a beautiful thing.”
Caitlin Clark had a groundbreaking first year in the WNBA, earning First Team All-WNBA honors, winning Rookie of the Year and setting records for assists and 3-point shooting.
