NaLyssa Smith cracks up after Lynx star Courtney Williams' father hilariously mocks New York Liberty mascot

Indiana Fever forward NaLyssa Smith was in stitches after seeing Minnesota star Courtney Williams' father playfully mock Ellie the Elephant, the New York Liberty mascot, following the Lynx's 82-80 Game 4 victory on Friday to send the WNBA Finals to a winner-take-all match.

Williams' father was among the Minnesota faithful who celebrated the huge win at home. He was caught on video by WNBA reporter Khristina Williams singing and dancing while also dishing out a special warning to the Liberty mascot, saying:

"We coming!"

Smith, who played her third year in the WNBA this season, could not help but crack up at the antics of the older Williams, sharing the video on X (formerly Twitter) and writing:

"Nahhhh he got me cracking up dawgggg"

The Lynx had to dig deep in Game 4 to chalk up the win to keep their title hopes alive. Two free throws by forward Bridget Carleton with two seconds remaining gave Minnesota the go-ahead and eventually the win.

Kayla McBride led the way for the Lynx in the win, finishing with 19 points, followed by Courtney Williams who had 15 points and seven assists. Napheesa Collier had 14 while game hero Carleton and Alanna Smith each had 12 points.

Over in New York, Jonquel Jones top-scored with 21 points, with rookie Leonie Fiebich adding 19. Liberty stars Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu struggled with 11 and 10 points, respectively, on a combined 10-of-36 shooting.

Courtney Williams is making things happen in the WNBA Finals

The Minnesota Lynx have been steadily competitive in the ongoing WNBA Finals against the New York Liberty. Among those delivering for the team is guard Courtney Williams.

Through the four games in the finals so far, the nine-year veteran has been dependable, averaging 16.25 points, 6.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds on 43.5% shooting. Her numbers are higher than those she posted in the regular season of 11.1 points, 5.5 assists and 4.7 rebounds.

More than the numbers though, her heady play on both ends of the court has provided the needed support to Minnesota's resident stars Napheesa Collier and Kayla McBride.

Courtney Williams, in particular, was scintillating in Game 1 of the Finals in New York, towing her team back from as much as 15 points down late in the game to force overtime and complete the 95-93 come-from-behind victory.

Williams and the Lynx will play Game 5 of the WNBA Finals at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The game is set for 8 p.m. ET on Sunday.
