Napheesa Collier reacts in 3 words after Kobe Bryant's wife Vanessa Bryant's special gesture

Minnesota Lynx superstar Napheesa Collier expressed her gratitude to Kobe Bryant's widow, Vanessa Bryant, for sending her highly sought Mamba and Mambacita clothing.

The four-time WNBA All-Star took to her Instagram story to send her love and thanks to Vanessa for the sweatshirt and shorts set she got from the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.

Collier added a three-word action, saying:

"Love thank you @vanessabryant!!!"
Thank you, Vanessa!
Thank you, Vanessa!

The clothing set that Napheesa Collier received is among the projects of the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation. All of the net proceeds from it go towards creating a positive impact for athletes and boys and girls in sports. The foundation was established in memory of NBA great Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi, who both tragically died in a helicopter crash in 2020.

Collier is coming off an eventful WNBA season, where she helped the Lynx come one win shy of winning the title. For the season, she averaged 20.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.4 blocks in 34 games, all of which she started in.

She won the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year award while finishing second in the MVP race. The former UConn star was also named to her fourth All-Star Game.

Minnesota lost to the New York Liberty in the WNBA Finals in five tightly fought games, but the team went away with the league's in-season tournament (Commissioner's Cup) title with Collier named as the best player.

Napheesa Collier excited for tip-off of Unrivaled league she has co-founded

Apart from working on her game in the WNBA offseason, Napheesa Collier is excited to see the Unrivaled Basketball League she co-founded with fellow superstar Breanna Stewart (New York) tip off for its inaugural season next month.

Unrivaled, a 3-on-3 league that runs from Jan. 17 to March 10, is designed to provide a viable option for women's professional players to showcase their stuff while earning good money.

Napheesa Collier shared her thoughts on coming together with Stewart and creating a new league, telling Bleacher Report in an interview:

"It's been great. Coming together for something that's bigger than us has been amazing as well. I think we both see the vision, even with women's sports already exploding, that it can grow even more."

She added:

"We've just taken that opportunity, and it's been very cool working with Stewie the past couple of years on this and building it and seeing it come to fruition from the ground up. It's been super rewarding."

For its inaugural season, Unrivaled will see six teams competing, featuring 36 WNBA players. Games will be played in Miami, Florida, and broadcast on TNT Sports.
