Paige Bueckers' reaction says it all as Azzi Fudd juggles glamour and grit in latest BTS clip
Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd helped UConn end a near-decade title drought by winning the 2025 NCAA championship. Bueckers, now a Dallas Wings star, reacted to an Instagram post featuring behind-the-scenes footage of Fudd’s life as a collegiate athlete.
Overtime shared an Instagram post Wednesday featuring Fudd, who stayed busy despite the college offseason and summer break. The Huskies star had a hectic schedule, starting with preparations for a photoshoot early in the morning, followed by several photoshoots throughout the day and a basketball workout in the afternoon.
It was a tiring day as Fudd headed back to UConn and watched the Wings game in support of Bueckers. The game was against the Chicago Sky, so the video was shot about two weeks ago, in late May or early June, during a home-and-home series between the two teams.
A fan was ecstatic to see Azzi Fudd show love to Paige Bueckers, who also couldn’t contain her excitement. Here’s the exchange.
"Watching that dallas game 😍," the fan wrote.
"I know that’s right!" Bueckers replied.

Fudd was named Most Outstanding Player after leading UConn in the NCAA championship game against the South Carolina Gamecocks. She had 24 points and five rebounds, while Bueckers added 17 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Sarah Strong also had a monster game, finishing with 24 points, 15 rebounds and five assists. It was UConn’s first title since 2016, when players such as Breanna Stewart, Napheesa Collier, Katie Lou Samuelson, Gabby Williams and Kia Nurse were still with the program.
Azzi Fudd takes over Wings-Lynx game amid show of support for Paige Bueckers

Paige Bueckers returned home to Minnesota three weeks ago as a member of the Dallas Wings, facing Napheesa Collier and the Minnesota Lynx. Azzi Fudd was also in attendance to support Bueckers, who was born in Edina and raised in St. Louis Park.
Despite being Bueckers’ homecoming, Fudd seemingly stole the show in the stands as a long line of fans took selfies with her. It was halftime, but it still highlighted the popularity of the 22-year-old guard.
Fudd is expected to be among the top prospects in next year’s draft. With the way the Dallas Wings are playing, they might have a shot at pairing the former UConn teammates.
