SPOTTED: Caitlin Clark and BF Connor McCaffery ditch Pacers game for Indiana's G League action
Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark and her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, were seen watching the opening of the regular season opener of the Indiana Mad Ants of the NBA G League.
On Friday, the Mad Ants, the G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, hosted the Salt Lake City Stars, the affiliate of the Utah Jazz, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Mad Ants Basketball Instagram page posted Clark and McCaffery sitting courtside.
"@caitlinclark22 is in the house tonight for the regular season opener," the caption said.
The Mad Ants, which won the game 127-116, also tagged the Instagram pages of the Fever and the NBA G League.
McCaffery is an assistant coach with Butler and recently served as an assistant coach with the Pacers, who were also in action on Friday. They were in Boston to face the defending NBA champions.
Caitlin Clark is in full support of her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery
Caitlin Clark is a regular sighting at McCaffery's games. Before Butler, McCaffery was with the Pacers as the team's basketball development coordinator. His primary functions were to aid in scouting and to provide game analysis.
Despite his short stint under head coach Rick Carlisle, McCaffery developed a friendship with the Pacers All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton. In November, the WNBA superstar was snapped watching a Butler game with Haliburton and his girlfriend, Jade Jones. McCaffery and Haliburton were also often spotted at Fever games.
On Dec. 21, Clark was again spotted at Butler's game against the UConn Huskies in Hinkle. Clark was joined by Jack McCaffery, brother of his boyfriend. On that day, Clark's favorite NFL team, the Chiefs, was also in action in Kansas City. The defending Super Bowl champions were up against the Houston Texans.
Clark also occasionally brings her other family members to Bulldogs games. On Tuesday, McCaffery shared four images of the highlights of his coaching with Butler in an Instagram post to which Caitlin Clark also showed appreciation.
