SPOTTED: Caitlin Clark misses Chiefs game to attend bf Connor McCaffery's Butler Bulldogs contest with his brother Jack
Caitlin Clark was spotted in Hinkle to watch another Butler Bulldogs game. The WNBA superstar was seen among fans with future Bulldog Jack McCaffery, who is also Clark's boyfriend's brother.
The Bulldogs are facing the UConn Huskies on Saturday, hoping to beat the defending back-to-back champions as visitors. Instead of attending the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans matchup, the Indiana Fever star was at Hinkle Fieldhouse to support Connor McCaffery, an assistant coach for Butler.
Considering her admiration for the Chiefs, it was easy to assume that Clark would watch her favorite NFL team take on one of the biggest challenges of the season. Instead, she attended one of the most difficult games of the Bulldogs' campaign against a powerhouse in college basketball.
Seeing Jack McCaffery next to Clark is important, as the other McCaffery brother will join this team after he finishes his stint in high school. The senior player put on a show against cross-town Rival City High, scoring 25 of 38 points in the second half to lead his team to a 57-53 win. He did so without Julian Manson, the leading rebounder and second-leading scorer, inactive due to injury.
McCaffery bounced back from a couple of poor games from distance, celebrating that he finally got some rhythm.
“I haven’t shot the ball well all season and I finally got in a rhythm shooting the ball and that felt good,” McCaffery said, per Your Prep Sports. “When my threes are going in there is just a lot more space that opens up the floor. I think I’m shooting 14 percent right now and I know I’m a good shooter, I’ve never shot like this in my life so it’s something I just have to keep getting better at.”
Caitlin Clark has attended Butler Bulldogs games with several family members
This isn't the first time Caitlin Clark has been spotted watching Butler Bulldogs games. She was even in attendance while the team was preparing for this season.
The Indiana Fever star would catch games with Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton and even brought her family to one of the games. She starred in a fun moment with her brother while they watched the Bulldogs beat Mississippi State 87-77. After Butler completed a defensive play, she was pumped up and pushed her brother during the celebration.
Caitlin Clark and Connor McCaffery have supported each other for years, and that doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.
