Watch: Caitlin Clark spotted with BF Connor McCaffery courtside during Pacers vs Knicks game
Caitlin Clark was spotted with her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, on Sunday at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse during the Indiana Pacers game against the New York Knicks. Clark is in Indiana in the offseason though she's scheduled to fly to Florida later this week to play golf.
In a video on X, formerly Twitter, Clark was shown on the big board in the third quarter. She waved at the camera as the fans cheered and gave her a loud reception. She was sitting courtside with McCaffery, who is based in Indianapolis as an assistant at Butler.
Caitlin Clark is coming off a remarkable first season in the WNBA, winning the 2024 Rookie of the Year award. Clark was an instant hit in Indianapolis, helping the Indiana Fever make the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
However, they were swept by the Connecticut Sun in the first round of the playoffs. Former Sun's coach Stephanie White will be in charge of the team next season. White left Connecticut after two seasons to return to Indiana, where she was a player, assistant coach and coach.
As for the Indiana Pacers, they defeated the New York Knicks 132-121 for their fifth win of the season. Tyrese Haliburton led the way with 35 points and 14 assists, while Bennedict Mathurin exploded with 38 points. Myles Turner added 26 points, six rebounds and two blocks.
Jalen Brunson had 33 points, six rebounds and 10 assists for the Knicks. Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 30 points and nine rebounds, while OG Anunoby added 25 points and four rebounds. They dropped to 4-5 for the season, which is below their expectations heading into the season.
Caitlin Clark to play at LPGA pro-am tournament
Caitlin Clark told reporters after the Indiana Fever's exit in the 2024 WNBA playoffs that she's focusing on golf during the offseason. Clark has been playing the sports since she was young, and now, she has a chance to show off her skills later this week at The Annika.
The Iowa product is set to play at the LPGA pro-am tournament at the Pelican Golf Club in Florida. She is set to be at the Women's Leadership Summit on Nov. 12 before playing the next day. She'll be playing with current world No. 1 Nelly Korda and host Annika Sorenstam.
It wasn't Clark's first rodeo at the golf course since she made headlines last year after playing at the John Deere Classic Pro-Am with Zach Johnson and Ludvig Aberg. To prepare for The Annika, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year trained with former LPGA player Martha Foyer-Faulconer in a course in Carmel, Indiana.
