WATCH: WNBA star Cameron Brink and Dodgers’ Jack Flaherty swap jerseys during Sparks vs Sun game

WNBA star Cameron Brink and Dodgers pitcher Jack Flaherty paid their respect to each other's work by exchanging jerseys. Flaherty had a chance to meet Brink during his visit to the Crypto.com Arena for the recent Los Angeles Sparks' game against Connecticut Sun.

However, the Sparks fell short, suffering a 79-67 loss against the Sun this Sunday. Still, before the game, Jack Flaherty and Cameron Brink shared a memorable moment, as in the video posted on the LA Sparks' official Instagram handle, Brink is walking towards Flaherty, holding her jersey in her hands.

Jack Flaherty shakes Brink's hand, while also holding his jersey in one hand. Then they talked for a bit and exchanged jerseys with each other.

In the follow-up post made on the Dodgers' official Instagram handle, among the multiple pictures of Jack Flaherty at the game last night, there were also images of both Flaherty and Brink posing with each other's jerseys.

The camaraderie between these two great players of different sports was quite evident, there was mutual respect between them. Jack Flaherty was also featured on the 'Look Who's Here Cam' in the middle of the game.

MLB expert is impressed by Tigers for their Jack Flaherty-Dodgers deal

The Detroit Tigers had to face a lot of backlash when they decided to trade their star pitcher Jack Flaherty to the Dodgers at the trade deadline in return for two prospects, Trey Sweeney and Thayron Liranzo. However, now their decision is seeming to be a bit fruitful as Sweeney has already been moved to the major league.

Sweeney also hit his first homer in last week's series against the Chicago Cubs. There were a lot of nuances present in this deal, however, it wasn't a loss for the Tigers, as they also acquired players who have the potential to be the real factors of MLB. Even Geoff Pontes of Baseball America is swimming against the tides and is in favor of this trade.

"A switch-hitting catcher with elite power is like a unicorn, but the Tigers may have acquired just that in Liranzo at this year’s trade deadline," Pontes said.

As of now, the Tigers are trying to switch Trey Sweeney with Javy Báez at the shortstop position. Jack Flaherty might get re-signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers with a $61 million deal, more so after his recent performance against the Guardians.
