7 best Phantom skins for Valorant in 2024

Phantom is one of the two assault rifles available in Valorant. This gun costs a total of 2900 credits in-game, and is among the few that come with a silencer equipped. As a result, the Phantom ends up firing untraceable bullets, and is the most effective gun for shooting enemies through smoke.

Ever since the game's release, the developers have made sure to release amazing skins for players to use. The Phantom, in particular, has received some of the top skins over the years, as it is one of the most used guns in the game. This year too saw the weapon get a lot of love in the cosmetics department. That said, below is a list of the seven best Phantom skins for Valorant in 2024.

Note: This list is subjective and solely reflects the writer's opinions. The entries are arranged in no particular order.

The best Phantom skins in Valorant for 2024

1) Nocturnum Phantom

Nocturnum is an Exclusive edition collection that was released in August 2024. Apart from the Phantom, it also has skins for the Bulldog, Classic, Marshal, and Melee. These skins are available in four variants — default, blue, black, and yellow — with a price tag of 2175 VP (Valorant Points) for each gun.

The Nocturnum skins were a huge hit among Valorant players. The skins' demonic aesthetic combined with deathly sound effects made them a must-buy for many enthusiasts. Another neat feature about the Nocturnum is how it keeps track of your kills in a round. With each kill, it lights up an icon on the side of the gun. These are essentially ultimate ability icons for random Agents in the game.

2) Doombringer Phantom

Doombringer is an Exclusive edition collection released in October 2024 that features skins for the Sheriff, Phantom, Judge, Odin, and Melee. These skins are priced at 2175 VP, and are available in four different variants: default, red, green, and blue.

The Doombringer bundle is one that went under the radar for most Valorant players. The skin had a very bold design with a metallic exterior and a bayonet below the muzzle. There are also small parts on the side that spin at a high speed and heat up the insides of the weapon during the "inspect" animations. During its kill finisher, the final enemy gets trapped between three larger coils that spin at high speed and explode their body.

3) Champions 2024 Phantom

The Champions 2024 collection was part of the Valorant Champions 2024 event. An Exclusive edition collection released in July 2024, it features skins for the Phantom and Melee. The Phantom skin was priced at 2675 VP, and came in only one variant.

As always, the Champions collection for the 2024 version saw a lot of love. The Champions 2024 Phantom was considered one of the best skins for the weapon in Valorant due to its beautiful design. Moreover, this skin rewarded the players with the highest kills with its unique glow, and also changed its design when players reached the required amount of kills. The most unique part of Champions 2024 was its kill finisher which allowed players to do a flashy emote after they had gotten the final kill. Interestingly, players can shoot the meteorites that are seen during the kill finisher.

4) Mystbloom Phantom

The Exclusive edition collection, Mystbloom, was released in April 2024. This bundle features skins for the Phantom, Operator, Sheriff, Judge, and Melee. Each gun skin costs 2175 VP and is available in four variants: default, blue, orange, and purple.

Mystbloom is one of the prettiest collections ever released in Valorant. The weapon's exterior has magical flowers all around its body ink in the place of its magazine. Players will hear a beautiful flute piece after each frag as their sound effect, which gets better with multi-kills. The kill finisher is also beautiful, turning the final enemy into a large magical flower and surrounding it with a garden of smaller ones.

5) Primordium Phantom

Primordium is an Exclusive edition collection that was released in March 2024. Apart from the Phantom, it features skins for the Vandal, Shorty, Melee, and Spectre. The gun skins cost 2175 VP each and are available in four variants — default, venom, cobalt, and gold.

The Primordium skin was a hit or miss for players in the Valorant community. While its hellspawn design appealed to a lot of players, others were fully repelled by it. Regardless, the skin does have some cool features. When a player shoots the weapon, they can see the lava drip out of its body. This is also noticed during its reload animation. In its kill finisher, the final enemy is grabbed by a demon hand from the other dimension. Players can then stand on the spot of the final enemy's death to get a glimpse of what the other dimension looks like.

6) Araxys Phantom

Araxys is an Exclusive edition collection that was released in two different versions. The Phantom comes from the 2.0 version, which was released in December 2024 and also features skins for the Sheriff, Guardian, Outlaw, and Melee. These skins are available in four variants (default, purple, black, and silver), with a price tag of 2175 VP for every gun it's to be used on.

The Araxys' original version was already a major success among Valorant players. Unsurprisingly, the 2.0 version also ended up garnering much love from fans. When this skin is equipped with a weapon, each part of its body reacts during reload or inspect animations almost as if it's a living being itself. This theory is further supported by its cinematic trailer, which showed how the weapons are actually fueled by living organisms. Moreover, the Araxys Phantom is a lot quieter than the Vandal (which sounds almost bombastic), making it the perfect purchase for players who are looking for non-distracting skins.

7) Combat Crafts Phantom

Another Deluxe edition collection, Combat Crafts, was released in November 2024. This bundle features skins for the Frenzy, Phantom, Bulldog, Judge, and Melee. Every gun skin in this collection is priced at 1275 VP, and is only available in one variant.

The Combat Crafts collection was surprisingly well received by many players, despite its lack of animations and any visual or sound effects. What drew players towards the bundle was its neat little feature wherein the weapon would look like a cardboard cutout of any skin available in the game. The release of this bundle is also an amazing thing for Valorant cosplayers, as now they don't need to spend as long to create the other high-level weapon skins for their costumes. The Combat Crafts skin is certainly a decent purchase for how much it costs.
