Can you play Valorant on PS4?

Many players may be wondering if they can play Valorant on PS4. The game was recently made available for consoles in a limited beta which officially went live from June 14, 2024. The reveal of Valorant Console came as a surprise for many players and it was announced as a game that will officially be playable on two devices. These include the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S, current-generation consoles owned by numerous gamers worldwide.

That said, some fans have wondered if the game is available for the PS4 as well. However, as of now, Valorant is exclusively available only on the PS5 and Xbox Series.

Is Valorant on PS4?

The game has been launched on PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S. This means that it will only be supported by the latest hardware. Due to this, Valorant Console will not be available on other older generation devices such as the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One. So Valorant on PS4 is just a dream for now.

The PS4 was released by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2013. The only way gamers can try out Valorant on PS4 is by purchasing a PS5 or switching to the Xbox X/S.

That said, this may not be a viable option, especially since the game is free-to-play. While it may be made available on other devices in the future, the devs have not shown any indication of the same.

Valorant Console has very few new features to speak of, as the game is in the beta stage right now. First of all, since the game will be played on consoles, it will have the regular aim-assist. This common FPS feature should help console players aim a little more accurately.

Secondly, the devs introduced a Focus mode in Valorant that helps players shoot faster for a smoother aiming experience while hip-firing their weapons. The Focus mode can be toggled by pressing the left trigger by default.

While the game is unavailable on some devices such as the PS4, it still has cross-progression. This means that the PC version and the PS5 and Xbox versions will be synced.

Patch updates, in-game store, new items, Agents, and everything else will drop simultaneously on all devices the game is available on. For the time being though, it appears PS4 players will be missing out on the game and all of its features. This was everything you need to know about Valorant on PS4.
