How to get the Doombringer Player Card in Valorant?
Doombringer is the latest skinline released in Valorant. This high-tier collection comes under the Exclusive edition of the game's weapon skins and was added to the title with the update of Episode 9 Act 3. It comes with a price tag of 8700 VP (Valorant Points) which makes it one of the more expensive bundles.
Apart from weapon skins, this collection brings a lot of other cosmetics for players to purchase. This includes a Player Card, Gunbuddy, and a Spray. Given how high-tier the bundle is, these cosmetics are also worth looking at. This article will guide players on how to buy the Doombringer Player Card in Valorant.
Acquiring the Doombringer Player Card in Valorant Episode 9 Act 3
Like every other skin bundle, this collection will be available in the game to purchase for a limited amount of time. While the weapon skins can show up later in the daily store rotations, players won't be able to purchase its other cosmetic items.
Below are the steps to purchase the Doombringer Player Card:
- Click on the store icon that is denoted by a shopping cart. It is located on the right-hand side of the 'Start' button
- Select the 'Featured' tab and click on the Doombringer collection to open it
- Scroll sideways in the bundle until you spot the Player Card
- The Player Card is priced at 375 VP, so make sure you have enough points to purchase it
- Another way to acquire it is to buy the entire collection which will give you all of its cosmetics and Melee from the bundle for free
- After the purchase, go to the 'Collections' tab and equip it by going to the 'Player Cards' section
If you are unable to locate the Player Card, you can simply type the collection's name in the search bar to find it instantly. Unlike some of the higher-tier Player Cards, this Card is not animated and doesn't contain any VFX. However, it does feature cool artwork of a mystical warrior.
How does Doombringer stand out from the other skins in Valorant?
Doombringer is easily one of the better skins to have been released in Valorant. The best aspect of skinline is its animations. When a player is inspecting their weapon, the coils of the gun start moving at a very high speed which gives off sparks that match the color of the variant equipped.
Players can also see smoke coming out of their guns. The Melee also comes with a new and never-before-seen animation wherein the character will rotate the weapon in the air in its equip animation.
The design of the skins is very neat where the exterior of the weapon is fully metallic and has a small bayonet attached in front which is similar to the Aemondir bundle. In its kill finisher, the final enemy is surrounded by three large coils that spin at high speed to emit energy. With the help of this energy, the final opponent's body is then completely disintegrated. Lastly, the weapon skin's kill sound effect is extremely satisfying and not as distracting. If we listen closely, it sounds similar to that of the Chronovoid collection.
While the bundle may borrow elements from other collections of the past, it offers a good amount of unique attributes. This is certainly a decent purchase for players who want to own a high-tier bundle in Valorant.
