New Valorant Regen Shield and weapon changes explained
The latest Valorant patch note 9.10 introduced a new Regen Shield and made a few crucial weapon changes. This update will take effect on November 19, 2024, and November 20, 2024, depending on the region. Additionally, after the patch, players no longer need to log in to Valorant by entering their Riot ID and password. They can access their Valorant account through the Riot Mobile app by scanning a code. Patch 9.10 also fixed several bugs related to Agents, maps, and modes.
This article highlights all major weapon changes and an introduction to the new Regen Shield.
Valorant patch notes 9.10 features several weapon changes
As detailed in patch notes 9.10, the developers have made certain adjustments to many weapons. This is to maintain the intuitive relationship between player movement speed and accuracy, thus increasing all moving state accuracy penalties, otherwise known as movement error.
This encourages intentionality in movement when shooting. All weapons except SMGs will be affected by this change. Here are all the weapon changes made through the latest patch:

However, with the changes, the weapon's damage drop-off beyond 30m has been completely removed, and its one-tap headshot range has been increased by 5 meters.

Introducing the new Regen Shield in Valorant
As the name suggests, the Regen Shield is the new defensive option in the title. The developers want to enhance the strategic and tactical possibilities by introducing this new armor option in the shop. This shield provides players with 25 health armor with 50 health in reserves, which will refresh a few seconds after taking damage.
Interestingly, the shield will absorb all incoming damage taken until it breaks. This is a huge buff compared to the standard shield that absorbs only 66% of the damage. This helps players take a few Classic shots or some toxic utilities without losing health.
