"It's a complete different ball game"- Revenant Esports' skillZ and dos9 on SA Valorant and flawless run in VCT Challengers (Exclusive)

Valorant Challengers League 2024 for the South Asian region saw a total of eight teams compete throughout two splits. The winner of this event would get the chance to represent their region in the upcoming VCT Pacific Ascension 2024, which will be an international LAN event held in Tokyo, from September 13.

In the Grand Finals of the event, Revenant Esports faced off against True Rippers. Here, the Bo5 (Best-of-five) saw a quick end as Revenant Esports demolished their opponents. They were able to talk away with a 3-0 win and got themselves the Ascension spot.

Sportskeeda Esports got the opportunity to talk to Revenant Esports' skillZ and dos9 during which they said,

"It's a complete different ball game."

Revenant Esports' skillZ and dos9 on South Asia's Valorant and the success in Split 2 of Challengers League 2024

Revenant Esports started very strong in Split 1 with a first and second-place finish in the Regular Season of Cup 1 and Cup 2. However, they only managed to get top three placements during the Playoffs, which showed that the team sort of struggled to continue the momentum from the Regular Season.

Split 2 saw a whole different version of Revenant Esports, as they had consistent dominant performances. They only lost a total of three maps in their entire run of Split 2 and even got a clean 3-0 win in the Grand Finals to secure the Ascension spot.

Sportskeeda Esports asked Revenant Esports' skillZ about how different the current South Asian Valorant esports scene felt compared to when the game was first released. Here's what he said,

"It's a complete different ball game now compared to the initial years, there are very few bad habits still there in SA but overall the region itself has improved from a solo individual game style to teamplay and the communication skills are also high now. It's slowly changing, before there used to very high risk high reward plays and now it has reduced drastically."

Sportskeeda Esports' also asked Revenant Esports' dos9 about what he felt were the differences from Split 1 to Split 2 that allowed for his team to have such a flawless run. Here's what he said:

"I think existence of coach, playbook and strats."

Revenant Esports will now be among the ten Valorant Challengers teams competing in VCT Pacific Ascension 2024. The winner of this event will then become a partnered team for the VCT Pacific League in 2025.
