"This is my first and last run for everything Valorant": Xipto Esports' Tara on biggest takeaways from VCT Game Changers Championship 2024 (Exclusive)
VCT Game Changers Championship 2024 is only left with a couple more matches. Seven teams have been eliminated, leaving only three more to battle for the title of world champion. Day 7 ended with a matchup between Pacific's Xipto Esports and Brazil's MIBR. The Bo3 (Best-of-three) series was a close one as both teams won on their map picks. However, MIBR took over the final map, Sunset, and closed the series effortlessly with a 2-1 scoreline.
After the match, Sportskeeda's Sneh Jadhav got the opportunity to talk to Xipto Esports' Tara, during which she said:
"I made the wrong promise to everyone"
Xipto Esports' Tara talks about her takeaways and experience playing at VCT Game Changers Championship 2024
Xipto Esports came into this event as the #1 seed from the Pacific region. Their hyper-aggressive playstyle found a lot of success in 2023 and won many hearts across the globe. VCT Game Changers Championship 2024 was very similar as they succeeded in replicating their performance from their last global appearance.
At this event, Xipto was a fearsome team to face off against. They stood toe-to-toe and won against top-tier GC teams like FLYQuest RED and KRÜ BLAZE. However, they finally fell in the match against MIBR.
Tara was the newest addition to the Xipto Esports roster and thus played her first international appearance at the Game Changers Championship 2024. So Sportskeeda Esports approached her to ask her about her overall experience and biggest takeaways from the event. Here's what she said:
"I feel like it's very fun but I feel like I really lack the passion to play here. Actually, throughout the year it was very hard for me to commit. Sometimes, I feel like I made the wrong promise to everyone. I feel like they could have gotten someone better, someone that's like more fitted to their team. After all that happened, I am happy that we are here."
She further added:
"I am just very sorry that I cannot give my best. So to everyone that's like supported me and to all my teammates, I am really sorry. I really feel like you picked the wrong person. But it's very hard for me to commit. So this is my first and last run for everything Valorant. Thank you for having me and I am sorry."
As a result of this defeat, Xipto Esports was eliminated from the event. They will end their tournament run with a fourth-place finish.
