"We’re going to use the experience": Full Sense's cbbk and foxz reflect on VCT Ascension Pacific 2024 following Lower Finals loss (Exclusive)

Full Sense went up against Boom Esports on September 28, 2024, during the VCT Ascension Pacific 2024 matchup. Unfortunately, it ended in a 1-3 loss for FS. Although both teams performed incredibly well, Full Sense kept getting shut down on maps like Ascent, Abyss, and Sunset, which ultimately led to their defeat. Now, Boom Esports is set to play against Sin Prisa Gaming, for the finals of VCT Ascension Pacific 2024.

Sportskeeda’s Angshuman Dutta, who was present on-ground at the VCT Ascension Pacific match in BritAma Arena, Jakarta, was able to interview Full Sense's coach cbbk and player foxz.

(Note: As cbbk and foxz's native language isn't English, their responses have been edited for clarity while preserving their intended meaning.)

Full Sense's foxz and cbbk discuss previous experience, fighting BE, and more at VCT Pacific Ascension 2024

Q: You have played at many high-tier VCT events in the past. How helpful has that previous LAN experience been for you and the team and what would you say is the most important thing you have learned in this 2024 season?

foxz: It's the experience. So we're trying to use the experience to move on in the VCT on the Tier 1 league to adapt and try new strategies and playstyles to improve.

Q: You made some uncharacteristic mistakes on Abyss with the Breach ultimate pushing Cypher over, what was the conversation like right after that?

cbbk: Oh sh*t. That's pretty much the answer to the question.

Q: Although you played your hearts out, you couldn't go up with Boom Esports, what are your takeaways from this match? What are the pivotal moments you could not capture?

cbbk: Due to our performance, sometimes we choked and sometimes we whiffed. We gotta go back, practice a lot harder, study our strategy, and prepare a lot more, especially mentally.

Q: Now that you're more on the spectator side, who do you want to support tomorrow?

cbbks: Both these teams have different playing styles, and out of the two of them, anyone can win.

VCT Ascension Pacific finals on September 29, 2024

VCT Ascension Pacific 2024 is set to have its finals take place between Sin Prisa Gaming and Boom Esports. Unfortunately, Full Sense is now out of the competition after a rather honorable attempt.

Out of SPG and BE, one team will take the victory for the $20,000 prize money and the qualification to VCT Pacific 2025. This is a massive opportunity for both the finalists and not one is more deserving than the other.
