Sentinels' coach, kaplan, talks about the difference maker in their rematch against Gen.G in Valorant Champions 2024
Sentinels have seemingly returned to form in Valorant Champions 2024. The number four seed from the Americas was having a difficult time securing wins in the regional event but has been able to bounce back on the global stage.
After a clean win against FPX, they were able to seamlessly carry that momentum in their rematch against Gen.G. While the Pacific team had its moments in the Bo3 series, Sentinels looked a lot more in control and effortlessly took the 2-0 win.
In the post-match conference, Sportskeeda Esports approached Sentinels' coach, kaplan, to ask him about what the difference maker was in the rematch against Gen.G compared to the previous time they faced off against them. Here's what he said:
"It's the same difference maker between our FPX game and our first Gen.G game. We showed up. Everyone showed up in terms of being a teammate. Every single player on this team was speaking to each other. When they were frustrated, they were sharing it. When things needed to change, when we needed to make plans, when we needed to make ideas. We were just flowing and being creative and working together and when we weren't, people were holding each other accountable on that. That seems to be the secret ingredient to us winning."
With this win, Sentinels have finally secured their Playoffs spot in this event. Meanwhile, Gen.G has been eliminated from Valorant Champions 2024.
