"We should have won in a clean manner"- Xipto Esports' enerii after win against FLYQuest RED at VCT Game Changers Championship 2024 (Exclusive)

VCT Game Changers Championship 2024 has finally kicked off. Featuring the top ten GC teams from all over the world, the event has already begun. Day 1 concluded with an intense matchup between Pacific's Xipto Esports and NA's FLYQuest RED.

The Bo3 (Best-of-three) between these two was very close. Both teams managed to win rather comfortably on their own map picks. However, the third map, Split, was extremely close and went to overtime. Both teams gave their all but it was Xipto Esports that managed to close the map and win the series with a 2-1 scoreline.

After the match, Sportskeeda Esports' Sneh Jadhav got the chance to talk to Xipto Esports' enerii who opined:

"We should have won in a clean manner."

Xipto Esports' enerii discusses close match against FLYQuest RED at VCT Game Changers Championship 2024

Xipto Esports is one of the strongest teams at this championship event. The squad's core gave a great performance in GCC 2023 and proved themselves with their raw mechanical skill and unorthodox aggressive playstyle last year.

In 2024, this team maintained a win streak of 20 matches throughout the year while only losing a couple of maps. In fact, its match against FLYQuest RED in VCT Game Changers Championship 2024 is only the third time they have conceded a map this year.

Sportskeeda Esports approached Xipto Esports' enerii to ask her what she thought were the factors that led to the map loss and essentially a close series against FLYQuest RED:

"I think to be honest, the biggest factor for why they got a map on us is probably me. I am probably going to receive a lot of nagging by my coach but I mean to be honest I deserve it. I feel like we should have won in a clean manner today, like 2-0 but we didn't. So I am sorry, coach. Don't be too angry. I will play better the next four days. Don't worry about it."

After this win, Xipto Esports' has progressed further in the Upper brackets. The next match will be in the Upper Semifinals where it will play against the winner between Shopify Rebellion and Team Falcons Vega.
