"That spot should be called TenZ" — Valorant fans react to Tenz's ace against KRU Esports

Team Sentinels recently went up against KRU Esports in the Valorant Champions Tour Americas Stage 2. During this matchup, on June 30, 2024, TenZ pushed ahead on Map 1-Lotus as a defender and went past A Rubble. He would go on to collect an Ace on the attacking team — this is not the first time he's accomplished such a feat from that exact spot.

Sentinels fans could barely contain themselves after the clip of the same was shared on X by Valorant NA's official account. One fan, @Solyze, implied that TenZ had done the same from A Rubble before and asked for the spot to be renamed after the player. They said:

"That spot should be called TenZ."

Another X user, @JerradG, expected TenZ to stop going after the opponents after dropping the Spike or use a smoke to back off. Instead, the player just stood in one place and engaged in aim duels. Needless to say, the Valorant fan was thoroughly entertained.

User @Kizaragi_ren pointed out how the player still clearly used a Duelist approach to Valorant, even though he no longer sports that particular class of Agents. They said:

"Bro still got that duelist grip."

However, not everyone was excited about the Ace. One Valorant fan, @gbgz2002, seemed rather unimpressed with the clip.

X user @_Liberosis_YT_ seemed more focused on the gameplay presented by KRU Esports. They made a remark on how this team managed to give TenZ isolated 1v1s when its members could have taken him on together.

So far, Sentinels have managed to collect 2-0 victories against not one but two incredible Americas teams. The Masters Madrid winner has been performing flawlessly and defeated NRG on June 23, 2024.

The team has been rather dominant on Lotus. It managed to achieve a 13-8 victory against NRG on this map. The game went into overtime on Map 2, Sunset. Eventually, the score was 14-12 in Sentinels' favor.

In its game against KRU, the team had to play on Lotus for Map 1, which it won fantastically with TenZ having his Ace moment during the matchup. The second map was Split, which ended with a scoreline of 13-10 scoreline in Sentinels' favor.

KRU clearly gave the NA trailblazers a run for their money but fell short at the very end.

Now, Sentinels is set to go up against Cloud9, one of the most formidable teams in the region. C9 is coming off a loss against G2 Esports. This will be the team's chance to climb up higher on the ladder and find a spot in the playoffs.
