VCT Game Changers Championship 2024 is the final international event of the year. The ten teams from all over the world have been giving top tier performances to earn their title of World Champion. Day 2 concluded with a match between NA's Shopify Rebellion and EMEA's Team Falcons Vega.

The Bo3 (Best-of-three) was expected to be a competitive one but that was not the case. Shopify Rebellion quickly dismantled everything that Team Falcons Vega threw at them. They were able to win both maps comfortably and closed the series with a 2-0 win.

After the match, Sportskeeda Esports' Sneh Jadhav got a chance to talk to Shopify Rebellion's meL during which she said:

Shopify Rebellion is easily the most fearsome and strongest team at VCT Game Changers Championship 2024. They have only lost a total of two matches in this season so far and have won every single regional event effortlessly. Shopify is also the defending champion coming into this event.

In their first match against Team Falcons Vega, they completely dominated the series. There was not a single point on either map where it felt like the game was slipping away from Shopify's grip. Due to strong performances like these, many are expecting them to become the first-ever back-to-back World Champion in GCC.

During the post-match conference, Sportskeeda Esports' approached Shopify Rebellion's meL to ask her if any other teams had surprised her in this event. Here's what she said:

"I think at least the most obvious that comes to mind would be KRÜ. I think the past two years, I am not sure if they placed insanely well but with their opening against G2 Gozen, you could tell that it took a lot of people by surprise. I think they are definitely a lineup that people should look into. I think they are a great team and if we were ever to face them, we would come in with full preparations as we do with any other team."

As a result of this win, Shopify Rebellion will progress further in the upper brackets of the event. Their next match will be against Pacific's Xipto Esports where they will play for a spot at the Upper Final.
