Top 10 players of VCT EMEA Stage 1
VCT EMEA Stage 1 has concluded and FNATIC, Team Heretics, and FUT Esports have come out on top. Certain players stood out from the others during the kickoffs, regular season, and playoffs. Gameplay from players like cNed and benjyfishy from Team Heretics has been an absolute treat to watch during the Stage 1 matches.
Since only 12 teams get to go to Masters Shanghai, most teams from the region fell behind struggling for the top three position. Regardless, here are some players that shined one way or another.
Top 10 players who stood out at VCT EMEA Stage 1
10) SUYGETSU
As one of the most proficient support players in the region, SUYGETSU from Natus Vincere has been extremely consistent. Playing with agents such as Cypher, Killjoy, and Viper, he ensured that the defensive half favored the team as much as possible. He collected an ACS of 183.6 with a K/D ratio of 1.06.
SUYGETSU has the potential to top frag as a Sentinel on the attacking half as he did on Ascent in the team's match against Team Liquid. While the map was lost, Natus Vincere went on to win the series.
9) Chronicle
Chronicle is one of the most consistently reliable players from FNATIC. The initiator has always been consistent at fragging and making sure the team gets to the site to secure a kill or two. However, Chronicle has shown a great range of playing Sentinels and Controllers recently.
Chronicle came through for FNATIC this time with an ACS of 205.8 and a K/D of 1.09. Now, the team will head into Masters Shanghai to battle it out for the trophy ahead of EMEA Stage 2.
8) Wo0t
Wo0t from Team Heretics has been yet another gem of a player during VCT EMEA Stage 1. Wo0t outperformed many of his opponents with his cerebral gameplay, collecting a K/D ratio of 1.03. Usually playing on Fade or Skye, Wo0t often became one of the highest-fragging players on the whole server.
7) MrFaliN
MrFaliN has had a very good season with FUT Esports as the organization heads into Masters Shanghai after VCT EMEA Stage 1. He may not always top the charts when it comes to a K/D ratio but his utility usage is top-tier. This allows his team to occupy enough space and acquire information to make swift executions work. He is yet another Initiator main on this list and had a K/D ratio of 1.05 with a 206.2 ACS.
6) tomaszy
Coming in at number six is tomaszy from Karmine Corp. While the team could not make it to Masters Shanghai, they certainly put up a good fight. VCT EMEA Stage 1 often saw the Sentinel/Controller main dominate maps with his ability to hold space.
Often sporting Viper and Cypher, tomaszy ensured that the opponents had a rough time getting into the site. He collected an impressive 1.16 K/D with a 214.2 ACS score.
5) Shao
Shao has been an unmissable player while watching EMEA Stage 1 matches in 2024. His aim duels have been electrifying but perhaps it's his utility usage on agents like Omen and Brimstone that has stood out. His K/D ratio was at 1.18, one of the highest among all EMEA players. This makes him one of the best players in Valorant.
4) benjyfishy
Having joined Team Heretics in the latter half of 2023, benjyfishy quickly adjusted to the roster. Mainly playing with Cypher, the player is a big reason for Heretics' success this season. His fragging potential often seems unmatched. Even talented duelists on both teams can't compete with this deadly Cypher, who collected a K/D ratio of 1.25 during the season.
It is perhaps his calculated timing in the game that gives him the best opportunities to take enemies off guard. This makes him a dangerous foe in-game.
3) cNed
The achievements and performance of cNed cannot be overlooked when considering the top three players at VCT EMEA Stage 1. The Turkish player has always been exceptional with the Operator, and this season was no exception.
He was formidable on agents like Chamber and Jett, thanks to his outstanding skills with the Operator, making it increasingly difficult for opponents to overcome him. This has been one of his strengths since the beginning of competitive Valorant. At VCT EMEA Stage 1, he had an impressive ACS of 238.6.
2) Elite
While BBL Esports was unable to make it to Masters Shanghai, their Controller/Sentinel main Elite still managed to ensure the team went the distance. The team made a rather strong comeback mid-season and collected a three-match win streak against teams like Heretics and Natus Vincere.
Elite has been consistently improving, through both losses and victories and has helped himself to a 1.31 K/D ratio and 214.2 ACS. This time around, unfortunately, BBL Esports fell a little short at VCT EMEA Stage 1.
1) Leo
And on the top of the list is none other than Leo from FNATIC. The team finished on top this time in the VCT EMEA Stage 1 season, and Leo was in top form. He has an ACS score of 210.6 and a K/D ratio of 1.35, which is one of the highest among all players. Individual success was great for the player, but he also helped push his team forward to compete at Masters Shanghai.
These were some of the best-performing players at VCT EMEA Stage 1. Most of them will advance into VCT Masters Shanghai, and others will find an opportunity to compete at Stage 2 instead.
