Valorant community reacts to custom Lotus x Minecraft map
Lotus in Valorant is already interesting, yet an artist made it even more exciting by converting it into a Minecraft map. X user @sleunch shared a picture and video of the map created by graphic designer @Ommooo3. Every inch had been animated such that it truly looked like a map in the sandbox title. Even though some areas were unrecognizable at first glance, it was truly a reimagining of the Valorant map.
The community was stunned by its design, and many players responded to the X post in awe.
X user @OfficialSwifyz was impressed with the Minecraft version of the Lotus map in Valorant. Them pointing out the smooth and pleasing aesthetic of the animation was something that many comments reflected under the post.
While some were impressed, users like @REDCanids were convinced that the recreation of the Valorant map was nothing short of a masterpiece. Truly an entertaining form of art by all means.
In fact, @iwaitsum1 was even ready to go online and start playing Valorant on the Minecraft-themed Lotus map. Unfortunately for them, this cannot happen unless they hop into Minecraft and actually create the map bit by bit to play on it. Still, it won't be the same experience.
While most fans were in awe of the map, One X user, @Itaxizada, was in sheer disbelief. They admitted that they couldn't even believe that the map was Minecraft and not the actual Lotus.
Finally, @RonaldJardel believed that the massive Minecraft x Lotus map was better suited to a wallpaper. Unfortunately for the user, we already have a whole video of the map which is now rapidly going viral on X.
When will Lotus go out of the Valorant active map pool?
Currently, Lotus is in the active Competitive map pool as well as the Premier map pool. The new map rotation brought in the Haven replacing Split and Breeze. Soon, the new map, Abyss is meant to join the Competitive pool starting from patch 9.0 onwards.
Lotus will likely remain in the map pool for some time now. Fans can expect the next map rotation to come after patch 9.0. There is no guarantee that the next major rotation will phase out Lotus.
The next pool rotation will likely bring in either Pearl or Fracture. Maps like Ascent, Icebox, and Lotus are at risk of being removed, while Sunset, Haven, and Abyss will probably remain longer.
