Valorant: Complete Harbor Abyss guide

Harbor is one of the most useful Agents on Valorant's Abyss, with abilities reminiscent of Viper's. However, following Viper's nerfs in patch 8.08, Harbor has emerged as a more favorable choice on maps that previously heavily featured the American chemist, like Lotus and Icebox.

Since Abyss was introduced after Viper's nerfs in Valorant patch 8.08, Harbor's overall pick rate on the map is much higher.

This Valorant Harbor Abyss guide explains how you can effectively use the Agent on the map.

How to use Harbor in Valorant's Abyss

In Valorant Abyss, defending as Harbor on A Site is fairly easy. To start, you can simply put down a Cascade on the entrance. Alternatively, you could go to A Tower to release a High Tide that cuts through A Main and covers up the entrance. Both of these options are good at stalling opponents and blocking their vision.

To defend as Harbor on B Site, you can release a Cascade that can cover up both B Main and B Window, thereby blocking the vision of potential OP users.

Another strategy is to cross over to B Danger and release a High Tide that covers up B Window and forces approaching opponents to go through the water before they can peek. This provides you with ample opportunity to take a frag. For this reason, Duelists like Jett are great on Abyss since they can secure a frag and get out without getting seriously injured.

A Site attack

To attack A Site, you can release a High Tide from A Main, just like in the image above. Let it go through A Tower and cut through the middle of the map so as to deny vision from the back of the site.

Next, go ahead and put down a Cove on the default plant area for your teammates to successfully plant the Spike while still having plenty of time to get back to safety. Additionally, you can release a Cascade toward the bridge area to block opponents.

A similar strategy can be followed when entering B Site. Let off a High Tide from B Main. Make sure it cuts off access from B Tower and Defender Spawn.

You will also need a Cascade covering up the extended portion of B Tower. This is because the High Tide doesn't necessarily cover that spot due to its natural design.

Finally, you can release a Cove, as shown in the image above, depending on where you're looking to plant the Spike. It works well in either direction, but it's safer to plant it closer to the edge of the map.
