Valorant: Complete Jett Abyss guide

Korean Whirlwind Jett can be considered one of the more capable Duelists on Valorant's new map Abyss. Since she is the only Agent who can effectively float in the air, it is easier not to fall off a cliff or into a gap. In case you do slip and fall, her Tailwind and Updraft can help bring you back to the surface. Additionally, Jett can pull off some tricks that landbound Duelists like Reyna or Iso cannot imitate despite the latest patch 8.11 Duelist changes.

This Jett Abyss guide focuses on how the Agent can be utilized in Valorant to create space while attacking and keep space in your favor while defending. Remember, movement is key for playing with a character such as Jett in a map like Abyss.

This Jett Abyss guide recommends abusing the gaps and spaces on Abyss while playing the character. As shown in the image, float over the edge outside A Main to enter the Site. Use the Updraft and Tailwind whenever necessary. This is one way to catch your opponents off-guard and enter the site as Jett.

Tailwind into a smoke to prevent enemies from catching you unaware. However, do not use this trick every single round. To avoid Cypher Trapwire setups on Abyss or even Killjoy utility, attempt to enter normally from Mid or A Main by fully utilizing movement abilities.

Next, try to take at least one frag to create space for the rest of the team to enter. Let's move on to the B Site attacking phase in this Jett Abyss guide.

B Site

Just like A Site, you can use Danger on B Site to enter or take angles as shown in the image. Not many opponents would expect you there. Make sure you shoot at the floor before climbing onto the ledge to ensure breaking any utility, and from here, multiple avenues open up.

You can throw a Cloudburst smoke on top of the platform by B Tower, and Updraft Tailwind into it. You can also smoke off B Under entirely and dash into the site to isolate a fight.

Your team must follow you as soon as possible to back you up. Once again, take at least one frag to create some space. However, even if you can't, distracting and blocking off Sentinels on-site should give your team enough time to secure a plant.

Playing on Defense

A neat trick to use while defending as Jett on A is to fly over the edge to reach the very end of A Main. If you're quick enough and use a quick flash from a teammate, you can surprise your opponents. Take a frag and quickly return to the site with your movement abilities.

Using the Operator as Jett is vital. She can get out of difficult positions and leap over obstacles like no other Agent. Use her kit to the max to take off angles and make risky plays. If done right, this can be highly rewarding.

B Site

Take a similar approach while defending B Site. Climb over the ledge to take this angle of B Window and you are bound to catch an opponent off-guard. Moreover, be aware of others running down B Main who could catch you at ground level instead. Pay attention and a frag is guaranteed every once in a while. However, do not use the same trick too often as the element of surprise is key.

Use the Operator as often as possible. The B Site gives defenders many angles to use while looking over B Main. Alternatively, you can also push Mid Library easily from B Main to take a peek. This can be highly rewarding. Alternate between strategies and angles to keep catching opponents off-guard and avoid getting punished.
