Valorant: Complete Skye Abyss guide

Skye, an Initiator, is perhaps suited for most maps in Valorant. Her Guiding Light serves as a brilliant pop-flash and is also effective in longer ranges. The Agent's Trailblazer is a highly potent scouting ability and can even concuss and damage opponents. Finally, Skye's Regrowth ability allows her to heal team members whenever needed. This makes her one of the most interesting Agents to play on the new map, Abyss.

This Skye Abyss guide will take you through a few basic tips and tricks to use while defending and attacking with your team.

Skye Abyss guide: Defending and attacking both sites

Defense- A Site

While playing as Skye on Abyss' A Site, tuck yourself into the corner as shown in the image. It's ideal to play with a Sentinel who can relay information to you once opponents start entering the site. You can quickly pop flash out of this corner and peek to take a few good frags. On the downside, this can be a one-and-done angle, meaning that you may get traded by someone, eventually.

Alternatively, you can also play A Backsite for a safer strategy. Here, launch the Guiding Light upwards and then release the flash. This should blind just about everyone on the site. Now, quickly take a peek and secure your kill.

You can also release the flash deep into A Main to help a teammate rush into the opponents you have blinded. This is a more aggressive strategy and requires teamwork.

Last but not least, you can flash into A Main without peeking to gather info on the enemy's movement. This is effective during eco buys or pistol rounds since teams often stick together during low buys.

Defense- B Site

Defending the B Site is trickier since the entryway is wider compared to the A site. You can even get smoked if you hold positions in B Tower or towards Mid.

In such cases, remain ready with a pop flash execute. You can listen to the enemy's footsteps and then quickly pop out, following the Guiding Light. This should allow you to take at least one frag on blinded enemies.

Alternatively, you can do the same from B Danger. However, getting out of this position alive would be challenging since it is open from two angles.

Finally, you can push B Danger flash out and cross over to the other side for an aggressive take. Ensure B Window is smoked off during such an execute.

Attacking as Skye on both sites

As an Initiator, Skye's primary task is to make first contact by either using utility or diving into the site with the Duelists. For this, always try to use your Trailblazer while going to the A Site.

Stand in the corner as shown in the image and just let the Tasmanian Tiger loose. Scan as many corners as possible and relay enemy positions to your teammates.

For the B Site, using the same strategy will prove useful. A better option would be to take the Trailblazer from B Danger. From the exact spot shown in the image, you can scan all of B Under to make sure there are no sneak attacks as your team secures the plant.

While this Skye Abyss guide covers the basics of playing with the support Agent, gameplay experience is still invaluable. When playing as Skye, communicate with your team, and enable them to take space, execute strategies, and complete tasks. Always flash your teammates onto a site, clear corners with the Trailblazer, and heal your teammates whenever necessary.
