Valorant: Complete Vyse Ascent guide

Valorant’s newest agent Vyse is considered an excellent Sentinel option on Ascent and is on her way to becoming meta. The map, which came with Episode 1 Act 1, is still in the competitive pool as of Episode 9 Act 2 and is even considered the most balanced map in Valorant. Vyse is the first Sentinel to have a flash ability, making her playstyle a lot more aggressive and versatile.

The traditional map design of Ascent favors Vyse’s kit, especially on the defender side. This Valorant Vyse Abyss guide will give you a detailed overview of how to approach both attacking and defending sides with Vyse on Ascent.

Note: While attacking, the Razorvines are extremely useful in post-plant scenarios. You can place them near choke points, like A short or B market, or directly on the spike to aid other Agents' mollies to get kills.

How to use Vyse's ultimate Steel Garden on Valorant's Ascent

Vyse's ultimate, Steel Garden, can potentially determine the outcome of full-buy gun rounds. On the attacker side on Ascent, Vyse's ultimate covers the entirety of both the A and B bomb sites, making it extremely powerful. However, similar to the Killjoy ultimate, a small portion of heaven is left open, and extra caution should be taken to clear that.

On the defender side, Steel Garden is best used during retakes. Use it from the spawn entrance while retaking the B site, and from Heaven or Garden while retaking the A site for maximum area coverage.

With the VCT Season now over, tier 1 teams will be looking to try out Vyse on certain maps. As Ascent will still be sticking around in the competitive scene, Vyse might see a lot in playtime and potentially replace Killjoy, who is currently the most-picked Sentinel on this map.
