Valorant console active map pool for limited beta

Valorant is coming to consoles starting on June 14, 2024, with an initial rollout in a limited beta on PS5 and Xbox X|S. The consoles will have some interesting and unique features like the Focus mode which allows players to hip-fire faster and more accurately. Apart from that, most of the game will remain the same on consoles. One of the things that won't change is the maps on both PC and console devices.

However, while the maps are the same, there is going to be a difference in the active map pool available for consoles. The initial map pool for consoles happens to have only four maps.

Valorant console active map pool: All maps in the limited beta

The Valorant console active map pool will consist of Ascent, Bind, Haven, and finally, Abyss. While most of these maps are classic and relatively old, Abyss is the latest map in the game.

Abyss

Abyss went online on Valorant PC officially on June 11, 2024. The map has brought interesting dynamics and mechanics that have never been seen before in the game.

This includes the concept of falling off-map and losing your life. The map is one of the larger maps in the console's active map pool, featuring a lot of penetrable walls, a long mid-section, and gaps in terrain that allow players to fall off. Abyss also has two Spike plant sites.

Haven

Haven is the only map in the console active map pool with three sites. It is a beta map not only for consoles but also for PCs. It is a large map with a mid-section that leads to Spike site B.

It can also lead to the C site via the Garage doors and finally, there's the A site that can be approached from A Short and Long by attackers. Haven can be considered an attacker-side map given the many sites that players can explore baiting enemies into early rotations. Haven will also return to PC with the upcoming patch 8.11 update.

Bind

Bind is also a beta map that was released alongside Haven and Split. One of the smallest maps in the game, Bind's entranceways are mostly narrow and somewhat limited. This means Agents, such as Raze and Kiljoy often thrive on this map thanks to their utility.

Bind has the unique gimmick of Teleporters that help players get closer to the sites in a much faster way.

Ascent

Finally, the fourth map in the console active map pool is Ascent. Yet another map with a wide mid area, and paper-thin walls. This means that wall-banging is completely possible and viable on most walls on this map.

Agents like Sova, Cypher, Killjoy, and more often thrive on this small map. It is also one of the most famous maps in the game and was released during Episode 1 Act 1 of Valorant.

So this was the Valorant console active map pool involved in the limited beta release. Since it's a limited beta release, players will have to register for the Valorant console beta from the official website to gain access from their devices.
