Valorant Haven map layout and callouts
While the Haven map boasts three Spike sites, it is one of the simplest maps in Valorant's map list. As stated, three Spike sites are connected, which allows the Defenders to rotate faster. Attackers can also benefit from this if some decide to lurk in enemy territory. Apart from this, the map is divided into three parts, such as - Middle, A, and C areas.
While playing at Haven, you can open the map up by pressing the map Keybind, which is “M” by default, or you can refer to the picture attached above to get familiar with the callouts.
How to play Attack and Defense on the Haven Map in Valorant
Attack
There are various ways to attack or push towards a Spike site on Haven. Among all, two methods are the most popular - the default method and rushing a site.
The default method or defaulting is fairly simple to execute. All five players of the team will spread across the map and wait for the Defenders to make the first move. The Defender will be punished for it immediately and the Attackers will push toward the site where they secured the first kill, while the others who are far away go for a flank. If executed perfectly, countering this method is extremely hard.
The rushing method is outstandingly easy for players in every rank tier as all players will run toward a single site and take control of it by using their abilities.
Defense
Since the Haven is relatively bigger than the rest, the Attackers usually execute the default method. Hence, while defending, it is best not to make the first move and give the Attackers space/map control. Additionally, you can put smokes on various choke points to make sure the Attackers cannot push through them.
Additionally, the choice will be using Killjoy or Cypher to hold a site down while the other four members defend the other two.
