Valorant patch notes 9.03: All changes coming on August 13, 2024
This patch from the developers is a small one, focusing more on bug fixes and improving the quality of gameplay in the FPS title. The biggest quality-of-life improvement is the overlapping of interactable objects. Now players won't be troubled by a Cypher Spycam while trying to attach to a rope.
Another improvement made in the game is Iso's Kill Contract ability, with Riot Games promising better performance. That's not all, as many other Agent's abilities have received upgrades. Devs have improved upon Ground Spreading Abilities, for example, Brimstone’s Incendiary and Viper's Snakebite.

Earlier these abilities had an inconsistent effect with varying spread. Now with this update, the abilities will spread more consistently and only apply damage in places that are consistent with the visuals. On the other hand, players can now ping and see additional icons on maps used for ability-targeting. Abilities like Brimstone’s Sky Smoke and Orbital Strike, Clove’s Ruse, and Omen’s From The Shadows will be affected by this change.
All PC and Console updates in Valorant patch notes 9.03
For PC, this patch only includes a client-side bug fix. Specifically, it resolves an issue where pressing the Tab key was necessary to enable the cursor when toggling it on. On consoles, Pearl has entered the map pool in the Unrated and Swift Play game modes.

Riot Games has also fixed an issue on consoles where opening the Ability map and the Shop/Scoreboard simultaneously led to a loss of input. Additionally, they fixed a problem where pressing the ability button led to the weapon getting equipped while diffusing. Lastly, the duration of Harbor’s High Tide wall is fixed for consoles as it was ending too soon.
All bug fixes in Valorant patch notes 9.03
Riot Games has deployed multiple bug fixes on both PC and Console with the latest patch notes. Bugs like opening menus resetting the toggle crouch/toggle walk state and pinging guns on the ground not displaying their names in the text feed have been promptly fixed.
They also fixed a rare bug where the defuse timer would show as ‘-00.00’ when defusing the spike as the round timer hit 0. Furthermore, multiple minimap issues like Ability icons and enemies not appearing on minimap were fixed. The devs have also removed the font size readability issues with Combat Report in certain languages.
The patch also fixes bugs like the auto re-scoping for the Outlaw, Marshall, and Operator weapons, where the scope stayed active during reloads. Additionally, "DAMAGE TO YOU/YOU DEALT" overlapping with the Combat Report widget was also fixed.
Finally, The Range and the latest map Abyss also got some bug fixes. For The Range, devs fixed a translation issue for various languages. As for Abyss, a spot in Mid Library where thrown abilities can clip through the shelves into gameplay space and a spot where Agent utility could be thrown off the map and used as a platform were fixed.
