When does Valorant Episode 9 Act 1 begin for all regions?
Valorant Episode 9 Act 1 is on the horizon, and many players are excited for its arrival which will see the addition of the new map Abyss into the competitive pool. The ongoing act brought a lot of changes to the game, including massive tweaks to Agents like Viper and Neon. It also introduced a new map, the first since the introduction of Sunset in August 2023. When the next Episode commences, Abyss will enter the Competitive map pool.
Valorant Episode 9 Act 1 is scheduled to start on June 25, 2024, or June 26, 2024, depending on your region. In this article, we will discuss the release date and time for Valorant in all regions, and take a look at some of the content that awaits us in the new Episode.
Valorant Episode 9 Act 1: Release date and time for all regions
Here are the Valorant Episode 9 Act 1 release date and times for different regions:
- North America: June 25, 2 PM - 4 PM PT
- Brazil: June 25, 7 PM - 9 PM BRT
- Europe: June 25, 10 PM - 12 AM GMT
- Asia Pacific: June 26, 3 AM - 5 AM IST
- Korea: June 26, 8 AM - 10 AM KST
Before the Episode 9 Act 1 update for Valorant, competitive queue will be disabled at around 7 AM PT. Game servers usually go down for maintenance approximately seven hours after the ranked mode is disabled, and last for two hours normally.

What do we know about Valorant Episode 9 Act 1?
The biggest addition in Valorant's Episode 9 Act 1 will be Abyss finally joining the Competitive map pool. Duelists are supposed to receive further tweaks. On a more exciting aspect, the Abyss trailer hinted at a potential new Agent addition to Valorant's roster as well.
The new Act will also bring in an entirely new Battle Pass and skin-lines, however, not much information is available about these.

Episode 9 also releases simultaneously Consoles and PC. This means even console players can consider these dates and timings since the game has already been launched in a limited beta for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Players will also receive a rank reset with the arrival of the new Episode. Moreover, a new edition of the Premier mode will also begin. This time around, the new map pool rotation will be taken into consideration for this Competitive mode.
Haven was already in the Premier queue from Patch 8.11, along with existing maps, such as Icebox, Ascent, and Lotus. The new map, Abyss, will now also be added to this queue. However, the change is not meant to be instant.
