Riot Games removes Bleed Esports from upcoming VCT 2025 and VCT Pacific tournaments
As mentioned, Riot Games, in a recent X post announced that it is removing Bleed Esports from the upcoming VCT 2025 and VCT Pacific tournaments. Officials have mentioned that the organization has failed to provide them with some ”critical reporting requirements” and “key obligations.” Moreover, as the organization is under the Team Participation Agreement, they must comply with Riot Games’ requests to ensure the tournaments/events go smoothly. On failing to do so, Bleed Esports has been discontinued from appearing in future tournaments.
Since Riot Games usually doesn't terminate its contracts with teams, this has caused quite an uproar in the community. The officials have made this decision to ensure the events go smoothly and offer the participating players and teams the best competitive experience.

Additionally, the players and organization were notified ahead of time to help them explore more options. While Riot outlined a rather uncertain cause for Bleed Esports' termination, the actual reason has not been publicly announced.
Riot Games further stated it will replace Bleed Esports’ spot in those tournaments with Boom Esports, runner-up of VCT Ascension Pacific 2024. The team will be officially promoted by Riot Games throughout 2025. Moreover, VCT Pacific for 2025 will feature the normal format with a total of 12 teams.
This announcement has left some fans speechless as the organization once featured yay, whom fans called the El Diablo of Valorant. However, he was moved to the team’s inactive roster in May 2024 due to health concerns.
