AVC Cup: Easy win for India in first match

India won their first group stage match of the AVC Cup volleyball tournament against Australia.

Australia  :  18        22      23

India was facing a team that is ranked almost thrice as high as them. Australia’s current FIVB ranking is 11 whereas India is ranked 30.

India got an easy victory against the Aussies in straight sets. In other action, Iran beat China 3-2. Tomorrow is the match between Iran and India which would be interesting as it will decide who tops the group.
