South Asian Invitational Men’s Volleyball: Maldives beat Nepal
Maldives beat Nepal 3 – 0 to enter the final of the ongoing First South Asian Invitational Men’s Volleyball Championship here at Kathmandu, Nepal. Nepal’s National teams dream of entering the final of the championship was shattered after it lost to Maldives. Maldives won the match with 25 – 17, 25 – 19 and 25 – 22 in three straight sets.
In the last round robin match of the championship, Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan 25-20, 25-22, 25-13 to maintain its 100 percent winning streak and finish on top of the table with nine points. Maldives finished the round in second place with 6 points while Nepal in third place with two points, one point ahead of Afghanistan in the four-team championship.
The final between Sri Lanka and Maldives will be played on Sunday at the National Sports Council Hall in Kathmandu, Nepal.
