Prime Volleyball League Season 4 to be held in June-July window

The fourth edition of the Prime Volleyball League will take place in June-July 2025 instead of the usual February and March 2025 window, Sportskeeda can confirm.

Delay in the season's commencement would mean a longer off-season period, giving the players more off-time and the management an opportunity to strategize better for the upcoming season.

"Prime Volleyball League Season 4 is shifted to next year's June-July window instead of the Feb-March window," the source stated.

Nine teams competed in the previous edition of the Prime Volleyball League. They are Calicut Heroes, Ahmedabad Defenders, Bengaluru Torpedoes, Chennai Blitz, Mumbai Meteors, Kochi Blue Spikers, Hyderabad Black Hwaks, Kolkata Thunderbolts and Delhi Toofans.

The source also stated that the league organizers plan to add a new team to the Prime Volleyball League ahead of Season 4.

The inaugural edition of the competition saw seven teams compete for the silverware in 2022. Mumbai Meteors were a new addition to the league in Prime Volleyball League Season 2, while Delhi Toofans made their debut in the third edition of the volleyball league.

Kolkata Thunderbolts, Ahmedabad Defenders, and Calicut Heroes have one trophy each.
