South Asian Games 2019: Volleyball Full Schedule, Dates & group classification announced
The 13th South Asian Games are set to kick start from 1st December 2019 in Kathmandu-Pokhara, Nepal and will conclude on 10th December 2019. The volleyball event in the 2019 South Asian Games, which had already started on 27th December, will conclude on 3rd December at the Dasharath Rangashala covered hall.
Volleyball got introduced in the 1987 South Asian Games. India won a gold medal in both men's and women's categories in the 2016 South Asian Games and Sri Lanka clinched the silver medal. Pakistan (men's) and Nepal (women's) had to settle for the bronze medal in the previous edition.
India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, and Nepal will be participating in the volleyball event this year. The matches started four days before the opening ceremony.
