Kevin Nash scheduled to appear at tonight's Maryland Championship despite arrest
Kevin Nash is still scheduled to appear at tonight's Maryland Championship Wrestling Season Beatings event in Joppa, MD, despite his arrest earlier this week. Nash will team with Fed Up to face Justin, Buck & Ken in a six man tag team match.
Fans will also be able to meet and take pictures with Nash, as well as former WWE Diva Melina, Matt Sydal (f.k.a. Evan Bourne) and all of the stars of Maryland Championship Wrestling. The fan fest will be from 5:30 to 7:30 pm just before the event starts. All that is needed to attend the fan fest is a ticket to Seasons Beatings.
Speaking of Nash, the report from TMZ earlier this week stating that Nash choke-slammed his son Tristen during their domestic dispute appears to be a bit exaggerated. According to the police report, via E! Online, Nash said that Tristen fell because he was intoxicated.
Here is how Tristen described being taken down by his father:
He said his dad "took a hold of his throat with one hand" and grabbed his right shoulder with his other hand, then "forced him down to the ground by his upper chest, neck area and shoulder." He said his father held him down on the ground by his chest and put pressure on it, rendering him unable to breathe. He also told police that as he was taken to the floor, he struck his left elbow on it, causing a laceration, and "hit the back of his head" on the ground, adding that he "blacked out" for "a second or two."
On Saturday, January 10th, Jersey Championship Wrestling will kick off the the new year with its return to GameChangerWorld in Howell, NJ with Sean Waltman and Scott Hall.
