Best and worst of RAW after Royal Rumble 2019
Well, the Royal Rumble pay-per-view is in the past now. We move on towards Elimination Chamber and other pay-per-view events on the road to WrestleMania. Fallout episodes of RAW are always fun to watch, more often than not. This wasn't the most exciting show but it was still an eventful one, overall.
So, here is my analysis of what went right and what did not click from this episode. As always, I invite you to leave a comment and share your thoughts. Did it live up to your expectations or did you think the show was a waste of time?
RAW was fairly easy to watch and I hope WWE continues this momentum all the way to WrestleMania 35 and beyond. Only then will the audience continue to support a product that has seen a decline in TV viewership.
That said, here are my observations about this week's episode.
#1 Best: Becky Lynch invades RAW
What a swerve WWE pulled this week. It was advertised that Seth Rollins would make his decision as to whom he'll be facing at WrestleMania 35. While he did not do this during the show (it was confirmed later through Twitter), it was Becky Lynch who ended up choosing her WrestleMania opponent. Not surprisingly, it was Ronda Rousey.
I loved just how animated the audience in the building was for Becky Lynch. Lynch was at the bottom of the barrel not long ago, always in the conversation but never at the top. She has scratched and clawed her way to the top of the women's division where the WWE Universe is now firmly behind her.
Lynch vs. Rousey feels like a WrestleMania 35 main event. And moreover, it likely is.
The hype is real, ladies and gentlemen!
