10 current WWE Superstars and their favourite football team
It’s common for WWE fans to read social media posts from Superstars about American sports teams, but we very rarely see statuses about their favourite football/soccer clubs.
The biggest football fan on the WWE roster for many years appeared to be lifelong Preston North End supporter Stu Bennett, aka Bad News Barrett, with his love of the sport leading to a memorable segment with former England international Wayne Rooney in 2015.
However, with Barrett having left the company in 2016, we thought it was time to find out how many football fans are still around in WWE today.
So, from the well-known to the not-so-well-known, let’s take a look at 10 WWE Superstars and reveal which football team they support.
#10 Rusev supports Real Madrid
While WWE Superstars often post about American football on social media, Rusev can be found posting about football – Real Madrid, specifically – on a regular basis.
“The Bulgarian Brute” was given a tour of the club’s stadium, the Santiago Bernabeu, during WWE’s visit to Europe in November 2017, while he showed off a signed Zinedine Zidane shirt after Real’s historic 12th European Cup win last June.
