10 notable WWE superstars who held two championships at the same time
Ever since our early days as a Professional Wrestling fan, we've had the opportunity of witnessing several of our favorite (and not so favorites as well) WWE superstars hold not one, but two different WWE Championship belts at the same time.
Starting from the legendary Hall of Famers in the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels to today's fastest rising stars in the form of Seth Rollins and The Miz, most of our favorite WWE stars have already had the privilege of aligning themselves with the tag of 'dual champion'.
Becoming a dual champion in WWE definitely does prove a lot for a certain superstar, as it goes on to reflect his or her position in the company and also contemplates the perspective of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and top company officials as well.
Throughout the lengthy history of the WWE, we've witnessed several notable and memorable dual championship reigns thus far and this article will give you an in-depth look at 10 most memorable wrestlers who had the privilege of holding two WWE Titles at the same time.
#10. Paige- WWE NXT Women's Championship and Divas Championship
After making her debut for NXT in 2012, Paige quickly established herself as one of the fastest rising and popular superstars in WWE's developmental brand and in June of 2013, the young British upstart entered the tournament to determine the first ever NXT Women's Champion in history.
And en route to the final, Paige defeated Tamina Snuka and Alicia Fox, before eventually defeating Emma to create history by becoming the first ever NXT Women's Champion in history.
Following her historic title win, Paige successfully defended her belt against the likes of Summer Rae, Natalya, and Emma before surprisingly making her main roster debut on 7th April, 2014, the night after WrestleMania XXX.
On her first night on the main roster, Paige shocked the entire world when she defeated AJ Lee to win the Divas Championship after the latter had initially insulted the NXT Women's Champion. With this victory, not only did Paige become the youngest Divas Champion in history at the age of 21, but she also became a dual champion in the process as well.
Unfortunately, though, Paige was forced to vacate her NXT Women's Title shortly afterward, due to the fact that had already received her main roster call up and was already in her first reign as Divas Champion.
