10-time champion to leave Roman Reigns hanging for Rhea Ripley? - 4 blockbuster feuds that can start on WWE RAW after SummerSlam

WWE delivered an action-packed event at SummerSlam 2024 that saw four championships change hands. Additionally, the recently concluded premium live event was laced with heartbreaking betrayals. While a few stories came to a close on the show, others saw huge new twists unfold, leaving room for some exciting angles to explore in the coming weeks.

Here, we look at the four biggest feuds that can start on WWE RAW after SummerSlam 2024. So, without further ado, let's begin.

#1. Finn Balor breaks up The Judgment Day

One of the most jaw-dropping moments from SummerSlam 2024 saw Finn Balor cost Damian Priest his World Heavyweight Championship. The tension between the two superstars had been growing for weeks, and The Prince was tired of the disrespect. Priest again laid his hands on Balor while angrily looking for Dominik Mysterio backstage. He later apologized for his actions, but it was the final straw.

Priest and Balor will likely engage in a massive brawl when they see each other on WWE RAW. We may get a brief segment where one-half of the World Tag Team Champions explains his betrayal, but things are unlikely to go back to normal for the heel faction. We may see Priest and Balor in a brutal feud to cement Judgment Day's implosion on WWE RAW following a three-year run.

#2. Jey Uso helps Rhea Ripley in her revenge against Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio

Damian Priest wasn't the only Judgment Day member who suffered betrayal at SummerSlam 2024. Rhea Ripley, who challenged Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship on the show, fell victim to Dominik Mysterio's stabbing in the back. He "accidentally" helped Morgan retain her gold. But seconds after the match, a smiling Dominik locked lips with Morgan before a dejected Ripley straight after her loss.

Mami will return with brutal vengeance in store for Morgan and Dominik. Although she has an ally in Damian Priest, The Archer of Infamy may be caught up in his battles with Finn Balor. Thus, Jey Uso may come out to Ripley's aid and start a feud against Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan on WWE RAW. The two have interacted positively on the red brand over the last few weeks. It will be interesting to see if Jey Uso will stay in Ripley's corner instead of helping Roman Reigns take on the Solo Sikoa-run Bloodline.

#3. Gunther meets his first challenger on WWE RAW

Drew McIntyre defeated CM Punk at SummerSlam 2024 and seemingly put their rivalry to bed. He won the title at WrestleMania and lost it within minutes; he came close to reclaiming the gold with a Money in the Bank contract but failed in his cash-in, all because of Punk. Now that he has defeated The Best in the World, Mcintyre could turn his attention back to the title.

McIntyre and Gunther were involved in a brutal rivalry when they were both on SmackDown. The two have delivered memorable performances inside the ring when facing each other. The Scottish Warrior could be the first WWE Superstar to challenge The Ring General for his World Heavyweight Championship to set up a massive title match at Bash in Berlin later this month.

#4. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins officially begins on WWE RAW

Seth Rollins was The Special Guest Referee for CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam 2024. The Visionary accidentally cost Punk the win a couple of times before the latter grew frustrated with the match official's antics. In the bout's closing moments, Punk chose to attack Rollins instead of capitalizing against McIntyre.

The Scottish Warrior recovered in the meantime and planted a picturesque Claymore to seal his win. While McIntyre has had his fair share of issues with CM Punk, no one was more agitated than Seth Rollins when the latter returned to WWE last year.

CM Punk would be right to blame Seth Rollins for his loss at SummerSlam, where the latter is unlikely to feel remorse over his actions. This storyline can effectively blur the lines between real life and kayfabe beyond comprehension, considering the shared history between Punk and Rollins. The two superstars now have a clear path to engage in a brutal rivalry on WWE RAW that has the potential to become a lot more personal than Punk's feud with McIntyre.
