Rivalries in professional wrestling go a long way in shaping the careers of the characters involved. One could argue that without Roddy Piper Hulk Hogan wouldn’t have become one of the most iconic Superstars in history.

Unlike in sports, wins and losses don’t define the legacy of a Superstar. However, contrary to what people within the industry believe, they do play a big role in legitimising a performer's status in a company.

With that being said, in the past, certain stars couldn’t shake the proverbial monkey off their backs. Whether it was during one feud or stretching over a considerable period, they just couldn’t defeat the one Superstar that proved to be a thorn in their side.

Brock Lesnar managed to exorcise his demons earlier this year at WrestleMania by beating Goldberg, but in the past, we’ve seen Superstars finding it difficult to defeat that one particular individual — their kryptonite, if you will.

Today, we take a look at ten such WWE Superstars who failed to defeat one Superstar.

#10 Billy Gunn never defeated Chyna

Billy Gunn is the only male Superstar on this list who hasn’t defeated a particular female wrestler. For the most part in the late ‘90s, Gunn and Chyna were on the same page, as members of the D-Generation X stable. However, during that period, they did compete against each other twice.

Gunn failed to pick up the victory on both occasions; Chyna and Gunn battled each other for the first time on SmackDown in ’99, with the winner earning the right to face Jeff Jarrett. Chyna won the match thanks to interference from Triple H, and history repeated itself when they faced each other again in early 2000.
