10 WWE Superstars and their NBA equivalents

John Cena has been seen supporting the Los Angeles Lakers in the past.

The WWE and the NBA have established several connections in recent years. Like most pro athletes, NBA stars can frequently be seen in WWE arenas when RAW or SmackDown LIVE visit their cities. Beyond that, The Miz and Dolph Ziggler have been very vocal in their support for their hometown Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Undertaker famously visited the Cavs last year.

But because of the athleticism and drama involved, it is fun to draw comparisons between the stars of both sports. So here are 10 examples of WWE Superstars and their equivalents from the NBA talent pool.

#1 Roman Reigns & LeBron James

Roman Reigns and LeBron James have both good and bad aspects in common.

Let’s just get this one out of the way early because it’s fairly obvious. Roman Reigns and LeBron James have been compared on various platforms because the two have several aspects – both positive and negative – in common.

First of all, both men have been blessed with athletic abilities and attributes that their peers flat don’t have. Roman is a freaky combination of strength and agility, and men as big as LeBron just shouldn’t be able to move like he can. Both were clearly the “chosen one” early in their careers, but that’s also been a source of criticism. For Roman, he was a straight-to-WWE talent that didn’t go through the indy scene like Daniel Bryan or Seth Rollins. For LeBron, he has been a star who has lost big games instead of being a cold-blooded assassin like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

On top of all that, both have won their sport’s top title three times with a chance to add more.
