10 WWE Superstars and their real names
WWE Superstars portray fictional characters on TV and to match the character they play in the ring, they have ring names that distinguish their real-life personality to that of their character we see them play on TV every week. The Undertaker, the most feared entity in WWE history, wouldn't have been as mythical as he is if he was billed by his real name "Mark Callaway" in WWE. The same goes for other popular figures such as Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
It's quite rare for WWE Superstars to break character on-screen and be referred to by real name. It's also rare for a Superstar to call another Superstar by their real name if they're using a fake name. So many Superstars spent their entire career in WWE wrestling under their real name. Some of the most popular Superstars to do so are John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Randy Orton (sort of) and Mickie James.
Most of the time, WWE changes a Superstar's name before they make their debut so that get full control over the name and they can sell merchandise under that name or use it for branding. Here are the ten real names of your favorite WWE Superstars:
#10 Thomas Pestock (Baron Corbin)
The first Superstar on our list is none other than the man you look forward to seeing the least in WWE, Baron Corbin. He is currently the biggest heel and the most despised man in WWE. The man behind the villainous character is a man called Thomas Pestock. Pestock plays his character so well that some fans even hate him in real life.
Under the ring name Baron Corbin, Pestock competed in NXT where he scored quick victories over his opponents. He made his main roster debut at WrestleMania 32 where he last eliminated Kane in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal to win the match and the trophy. Corbin later went on to win the Money in the Bank contract and contested for the Universal Championship multiple times.
