11 shows coming to WWE Network and Peacock this weekend - SummerSlam 2024, Intercontinental Title special, and more

WWE Network and Peacock have continued to be slow in uploading new videos. This has been a consistent theme for most weeks of the year ever since the service moved to Peacock and original content became less of a focus.

Despite that, there are still uploads fans can check out just about every day. For example, Monday saw a new episode of RAW Talk added to the archives. This show highlighted Bronson Reed. Tuesday featured a week-old edition of NXT, which was the episode before The Great American Bash.

Wednesday saw a month-old episode of Monday Night RAW added on-demand. Yet again, no new episode of WWE's The Bump aired, so it appears the show may be canceled. Lastly, This Week In WWE streamed on Thursday.

While the week was slow, the weekend will not be. 11 new full-length videos will be airing, with the bulk of the programming being centered around SummerSlam 2024. This article will take a look at everything set to arrive and let subscribers know when they can check it out.

Below are 11 shows coming to WWE Network and Peacock this weekend.

#11. The SmackDown LowDown will return

The SmackDown LowDown will be airing a new episode on WWE Network and Peacock this weekend. The show, which breaks down and analyzes the events from the blue brand, will air on Saturday, August 3, 2024, beginning at 12 PM EST.

Last week's edition of the series can be seen on-demand, but the interview portion featuring stars from the blue brand can be seen above. The Unholy Union, consisting of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn, was first to be interviewed, with Blair Davenport joining the pair. From there, Carmelo Hayes spoke about Andrade. Lastly, Nia Jax addressed Bayley and SummerSlam.

#10. A SummerSlam Kickoff & #9. La Previa, two shows will hype up WWE SummerSlam 2024

WWE will be holding two different shows to hype up SummerSlam 2024 this weekend. The first will be the SummerSlam 2024 Kickoff show, which is set to stream on multiple platforms on Friday, August 3, beginning at 5 PM EST featuring Triple H, Rhea Ripley, and various other names.

Meanwhile, La Previa will air on Saturday, August 3, 2024. For those unaware, this show is a Spanish-language program that features exclusive interviews ahead of whichever premium live event airs later that day. Guests for the show are not yet disclosed.

#8. SummerSlam 2024 & #7. Countdown to SummerSlam 2024

The biggest hook to the weekend is WWE SummerSlam 2024. This massive premium live event will air on both WWE Network and Peacock on Saturday, August 3, beginning at 7 PM EST. A three-hour Countdown to SummerSlam special will begin at 4 PM EST that same day.

SummerSlam will feature major matches that have quite a bit of build-up. This includes Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa, Damian Priest vs. Gunther, CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre, Bayley vs. Nia Jax, and Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan, among other bouts. All in all, seven matches are booked for the event.

#6. The Ultimate Show is back

The Ultimate Show is back! A brand new edition of the popular WWE Network and Peacock series will arrive on-demand this weekend. More specifically, the show will stream on Saturday, August 3, 2024, beginning at 10 AM EST.

This edition of the series is titled The Ultimate Show: Ultimate SummerSlam 2024. While not confirmed, the program will likely feature a mixture of major stars being fantasy booked to right, all with strong ties to the SummerSlam event throughout the show's illustrious history. Ryan Pappolla, Sam Roberts, and Kazeem Famuyide are the usual hosts.

#5. A SummerSlam post-show will air

In addition to all of the other content surrounding SummerSlam 2024, a SummerSlam Post-Show special will stream on WWE Network, Peacock, and other platforms immediately following the big premium live event. The show will air on Saturday, August 3. This, as usual, will feature Triple H.

In addition to The Game, who will break down the action of SummerSlam, other stars will likely be featured. Typically, big winners and new champions crowned at a show sit back and answer questions. As a result, it is not yet clear who will be featured.

#4. WWE Main Event & #3. Friday Night SmackDown, two recent shows will arrive on-demand

Two shows that recently aired elsewhere will arrive on both streaming platforms this weekend. This includes Main Event, which first airs on Hulu, and Friday Night SmackDown, which is first seen on FOX. Both programs have a delay due to contractual obligations with where they first broadcast.

WWE Main Event from July 18, 2024, will be added to the archives on Saturday, August 3, 2024. The opening bout of the program saw NXT's Malik Blade take on Pete Dunne. The main event of the show featured NXT's Luca Crusifino taking on the Latino World Order's Joaquin Wilde in a singles competition.

Friday Night SmackDown from July 5, 2024, will arrive on Sunday, August 4, 2024. This was the final episode of the blue brand ahead of Money in the Bank and featured a mix of RAW and SmackDown Superstars. Additionally, DIY challenged for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

WWE NXT's b-show will be back with a brand new episode on Friday, August 2, 2024. The show will air across both WWE Network and Peacock beginning at 10 PM EST immediately following SmackDown on FOX. As a reminder, the show won't be on-demand for Peacock subscribers after first streaming for around two weeks.

This edition of the series is titled This Is Awesome: Most Awesome Intercontinental Champions. This will likely highlight names such as Chris Jericho, The Miz, The Ultimate Warrior, Shawn Michaels, Gunther, and The Honky Tonk Man, among others.
